Lovely riverside place right by the
Nam Khan River, near the
bamboo bridge (only during dry season) and a couple of minutes to walk to the
Tourist Street and
Night Market. Lots of charming (riverside) restaurants nearby.
Jomo Cafe 2 doors down has (not cheap but) great ham & cheese croissants (chocolate croissant was also good, but their other stuff like pizza, mango crumb cake, and black forest cake were just okay).
The room we got was not too big but very clean. No shoes inside. Simple decor, with an aircon and a fan. Shower was not very strong but hot. If you can, get a room upstairs at there's no soundproofing. We had a family with 3 young kids upstairs and all we heard was kids screaming and stampeding for hours on end.
Wifi is quite slow but it works. Same-day laundry at 10,000 kip per kilo.Owner is a man of few words (I don't think he speaks much English) but he seemed nice. If you want some place cheaper,
Phongboun Guesthouse has decent rooms.
